Landing Page Redefined
When you check internet, you can read plenty of articles talking about landing page, but hardly a few actually defines what landing page is actually. Especially for a newbie, the idea of landing page design seems little confusing at his initial days and when you read different documents over internet, the confusion rises.
In this article, I will try my best to keep it simple and let you know what you can do to get a stunning landing page that converts.
Okay, let us first understand what is a home page?
A home page of a website is the most important page that creates the first impression. But it is much undifferentiated and unfocused when it comes to capturing prospects or selling any specific product or service.
On the other hand, creating landing pages is meant for capturing leads. In fact, it has a specific direction to trigger conversion. In other words, landing page is optimized for improved conversion and capturing leads, hence it is much focused and can easily be differentiated from any common website or blog.
Depending on the specific needs it meets, landing page designs can be different.
For example, a sales pitch page is a landing page which is intended to sell some product(s) or service(s). Additionally, it is also optimized for capturing leads – be it prospective buyers or affiliates.
On the other hand, there is a landing page, called squeeze page or lead capturing page, is much more focused in capturing leads first and then converting them into buyers.
Evidently landing page optimization is critically important for online business success. This is why most marketers use landing page. Since it helps in taking visitors into list, so you can easily understand how immensely powerful it is for the growth of your business.
The best optimized landing pages constitute a compelling header, a long or short description (not the features of the product, but what benefits they are actually getting if they buy your product or service), a product image, an opt-in form (and/or sales prompt), a specific call to action.
To make it more effective you can definitely add some more powerful components in your optimized landing page, especially when it is a sales pitch page. Whatever you do, it’s important that you must pass your landing page through split testing to find out which model specifically works best for your business.
